closing ceremony of CWG


Commonwealth Closing Ceremony in New Delhi, India would be the event to watch out for. Scheduled to be held on October 14 the event seems to bring in the same kind of anticipation as the opening ceremony. Unity and solidarity are chosen as the theme for the nineteenth Commonwealth Closing Ceremony. The organization committee promises nothing but the best with almost 7000 artist's domestic and international ready to mesmerize all eyes with their talent. 
According to the closing ceremonies held in other host countries, it can be concluded that a similar set of events would adorn the Closing Ceremony of Commonwealth Games 2010.

Generally, the last bit of the closing ceremony includes celebrities from the film fraternity. There are dance performances by Bollywood as well as
Hollywood actors and actresses. Like in Melbourne, 2006, the concluding ceremony had lively performances by Rani Mukherjee, Aishwarya Rai and Saif Ali Khan. The program was followed by a short promotional video of the next Commonwealth Games, scheduled to be held in Delhi, India in 2010. 


The mascot, Sheru-the Friendly Tiger, of the Commonwealth 2010 Games, paraded the stage and also waved at the cheerful audience. He was accompanied by Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta.

There was a theme song, which invited people to the next 2010 Commonwealth Games in
India. Moreover, the David Dixon Award was presented to Samresh Jung for the Fairest and the Best Indian Team Shooter
